Elaine Ganick

Elaine Ganick is perhaps best known as a respected broadcast journalist and popular television personality. From 1981 through 1987, millions saw her internationally as the Southeastern Correspondent and writer/producer for the highly successful television program "Entertainment Tonight". More importantly, however, she has developed a reputation as a knowledgeable and trusted professional who has the ability to consistently deliver results for her clients and to develop and produce communications tools that appeal and communicate one-on-one with the target audience; and it's no wonder, considering Elaine has conducted over 10,000 interviews in her 25-year career!

Such an ability can only be nurtured through experience, and Elaine's story of success is no exception. Her first opportunity came relatively early when she auditioned for a local TV job just one short week after her graduation from college. She landed the position as Co-Host of the long running "Noon Show" on WSM-TV in Nashville , Tennessee . For eight years (that's over 2,000 live shows), she hosted the popular mid-day program; and from 1976 through 1981, she produced the program as well. During her tenure at Nashville 's NBC affiliate, Ganick also wrote, produced and anchored three early morning newscasts for the station (1977 - 1980), and was an air personality on WSM AM/FM radio (1973-1976). Actually, Elaine was the first female air personality that WSM Radio hired - and the first in Nashville.

From 1981 until 1983, Elaine anchored the evening newscast for WNGE-TV (ABC) in Nashville . It was during this time she began working for Paramount Television. She left local television in 1983 to begin full-time duties as the Southeastern Correspondent with Entertainment Tonight.

In 1988, "ET" underwent major format changes and a decision was made to discontinue using regional correspondents and base the show entirely in Los Angeles . Being a Nashville native and the mother of three children then under the age of 5, Elaine decided to remain in her hometown and join her husband in business. She became Vice-President of Artist Development for her husband's artist management firm, The Woody Bowles Company. During her three years in that position, Elaine was an instrumental part of the development of the careers of major country music artists such as Moe Bandy, Kix Brooks (Brooks & Dunn), Michael Johnson, Baillie & The Boys, and The Judds, among others. In fact, Wynonna lived with Elaine and her husband for a year following her graduation from high school.

In 1990, Elaine formed Ganick Communications to provide corporate and broadcast video production services, as well as marketing and communications strategies. Additionally, in February of that same year, Elaine returned to national television as the host of RecoveryLine , a production of United Methodist Communications , for the Odyssey Cable Network . The live show ran for 5 years and was broadcast weekly to approximately 22 million homes across the United States . In the late 1990s, Elaine also served as a reporter/producer for TNN's daily program American Skyline , and as the writer/producer for TNN's popular Soulmates series. During her career, Elaine has produced hundreds of radio and television commercials for local, regional, and national clients. Most recently, she served as the host of a series of culinary specials for Nashville 's PBS affiliate, and as the "voice" of the highly successful Home Center Network , a program devoted to Real Estate in Middle Tennessee.

Elaine's long career in the broadcast industry has brought her national recognition and a number of coveted awards. Her writing, producing and directing credits include both network broadcast projects, as well as non-broadcast corporate and educational films and videos.
